What does Black Swan Family Support Service offer?


We work alongside families to support them in developing skills, knowledge and confidence to overcome any difficulties they may be experiencing within the family home. This might include support with household routine and support to understand and manage a child’s behaviour.

  • 24-hour support including, evenings, sleep ins and early mornings.

  • Accompanying children, young people and families to appointments, such as; CAMHS, court, GPs etc.

  • Respite care for those who are in need.

  • Support to foster placements.

  • Independence support – i.e. supporting children and young people with living independently, shopping, cooking etc.

  • Supporting supervised contact.

  • Transportation in and out of County.

  • Supporting children, young people and families in a therapeutic way: Animals, Mental Health coping methods, Dance, Art, Music and 1-2-1 support.

  • Supporting children, young people and families in need.

  • Feedback to Service.

  • Goal setting.

  • Social skills development.

  • Self-belief and confidence building.

  • Support children and young people with disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, learning difficulties, risk taking behaviour, excluded from education and behavioural difficulties.
